Introduction
Context
Every year, Americans waste ~60 million tons of food, costing the average family of four $1,600.
Figuring out how to grocery shop and plan meals efficiently without wasting food and money can be frustrating and overwhelming.
Our Mission
EcoFresh is an app that aims to streamline grocery shopping, meal planning, and home cooking. We've noticed that potential users face challenges creating grocery lists, finding new recipes, and reducing their food waste at home, leading to frustration from extra trips to the store and recipe improvisation.
We believe that we can help.
My Role: Project Manager, Co-UX/UI Designer
As a UX/UI designer and project manager for EcoFresh, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the app's success. We started by conducting user research to understand our target audience's needs and pain points. Based on this research, we designed user flows and wireframes to map out the app's functionality. We then created prototypes for user testing to gather feedback and iterate on the design.
In my project management role, I oversaw the entire development process. This includes creating and maintaining project timelines, coordinating with developers and other team members, and ensuring that the project stays on track and meets its goals. Throughout the development process, We continuously gathered feedback and made improvements to enhance the user experience.
